Hello.  Guess what?!?  It is only a few more days before my mom gets home!   This week hasn’t been as eventful as last week, which is totally fine with me.

I’ve been reading a lot, which is something I really enjoy.  One of the books I read is called Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper.  It was such a good reminder of what the Christian life really is.  John Piper’s catch phrase, if you want to call it that, is:  God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.  Our ruling passion should be “…to joyfully display his supreme excellence in all the spheres of life.”  He says that “…the wasted life is the life without this passion.”

It would take a long time to try and write everything I gleaned from the book.  Maybe I’ll write more about it later.  I guess the thought that the book left me with was, “Do I have a passion for Christ that is displayed to others?”  I want to live in such a way that God will be magnified.  It will be a day by day process, but I know that there will be much joy in it.

Glad you made it through these last few weeks! I’m still sad I couldn’t get you over here while you were home alone – or sort of. I also enjoyed sitting together at the wedding! Thanks for the note – your company was fun!
